Approaching the river, a boy is fascinated with the energetic current, tosses in a twig, watching it flow out of sight. Gone. Then another. Fascination grows, expands, with each twig-boat floating around the bend. Legs scramble along the riverbank, his attention held with the course of the vessel. Chasing his fascination, seeking perfect twigs and the best banks takes determination and desire. He has these in abundance. Kayaks & canoes are on the horizon.
A woman follows the sounds of rapids and settles on a cosy perch. The current offers calm. Bubbles explode and sing, the music drawing her in. “Molecule, here now, moments later to where, to where?” Curiosity never meets motivation to chase or follow. For she is content to hear your tales, she has all day to listen, keeping her own words in her journal to herself.
A gorgeous piece on perspective - loved it!
Ahh I felt I was there, listening to the water! ✨
